Shadows of Us

We danced in the moonlight, under a thousand stars,

Whispers of forever, now just echoes from afar.

Promises like petals, scattered in the rain,

Left with only memories, wrapped in silent pain.

Oh, shadows of us, where did we go wrong?

The laughter that we shared, now a haunting song.

In the corners of my heart, you still linger near,

But the love that we once had has disappeared.

I walk through the places, where you used to be,

Your smile a fading portrait, now just haunting me.

Time moves like a river, carrying dreams away,

But every drop reminds me of the words we couldn’t say.

Oh, shadows of us, where did we go wrong?

The laughter that we shared, now a haunting song.

In the corners of my heart, you still linger near,

But the love that we once had has disappeared.

And though I try to smile, beneath this heavy sky,

The weight of what we lost won’t let me say goodbye.

I keep searching for solace in the memories we made,

But I’m lost in the silence of the love that slowly fades.

Oh, shadows of us, where did we go wrong?

The laughter that we shared, now a haunting song.

In the corners of my heart, you still linger near,

But the love that we once had has disappeared.

So I'll carry our story, written in the dark,

A tale of two souls, left with a fragile spark.

Though our paths have parted, in the night I’ll trust,

You'll always be my shadow, the ghost of our blush.
